Calf-Rearing Process

The calf-rearing process follows the same standards used by Préval AG in Canada.

Sourcing

Arrival weight of 40 kg
  • Male calves sourced from partner dairy farms
  • Colostrum provided before collection
  • Approximately 40 kg upon arrival
  • Initial health and quality assessment

Initial Phase (démarrage)

From 40 to 110 kg
  • Specialized care and handling
  • Milk-replacer feeding
  • Continuous health and performance monitoring
  • Gradual introduction of solid feed until the calves reach 110 kg

Growth and Finishing Phase (finition)

From 110 to 340 kg
  • Diet based on whole grains, supplements, and fiber
  • Continuous health and performance monitoring
  • Finished at approximately 340 kg live weight
  • Maximum age of eight months
